Objectives of this Helideck Fire Team Member Training

The main objective  of the Helideck Fire Team Member Training is to give Helideck Attendants knowledge that will enable them carry out emergency response actions incorporating fire fighting situations and rescue at the helideck. At the end of the training delegates should be able to:

  •     Select and use firefighting equipment as appropriate to helideck emergencies
  •     Extinguish fires on the helideck
  •     Locating and rescue casualties trapped in a crashed helicopter
  •     Use BAs and associated equipment

 

Training Duration: 

The Helideck Fire Team Member Training  has a duration of two days. This includes classroom presentations, discussion, exercises and role plays. We can organise the training onsite in Cameroon, Chad, Congo, Central African Republic, Gabon and Equatorial Guinea

 

Training Prerequisite: 

To attend this Helideck Fire Team Member Training, participants must have completed a training course on basic  fire fighting or have some experience in structural fire fighting. Ability to write and understand basic English or French is an added advantage

  •     Hazards of elevated heliports/helipads
  •     Emergency response tactics in NUI and elevated heliports/helipads
  •     Inspection, donning 02 monitoring of the breathing Apparatus
  •     Helideck foam application tactics.
  •     Types of foam and equipement layout
  •     Casualty handling
  •     Using a stretcher.
  •     Casualty transportation techniques
